World Hearing Day 2023

The Hearing Loss and Deafness Alliance invites everybody to celebrate World Hearing Day 2023, "Ear and hearing care for all!".

This year the World Health Organization (WHO) event highlights the importance of integrating ear and hearing care within primary care, as an essential component of universal health coverage.

WHO explains that:

• Ear and hearing problems are common and over 60% can be identified and addressed at the primary level of care.
• Integration of ear and hearing care into primary care services is possible through training and capacity building at this level.
• It is important to provide ear and hearing care as part of universal health coverage.
